SÍNTESIS DE PRIMEROS RECONOCIMIENTOS GEOLÓGICOS Lugo Primelles, René Pimentel Olivera, Higinio Alonso Díaz, Jorge Rubante Martin, Dania arco volcano-plutónico cinturones magmáticos–metalogénicos investigaciones período Cretácico-Paleógeno volcano-plutonic arc magmatic-metallogenic belts research Cretaceous-Paleogene period The work is a synthesis of the results of the first geological reconnaissance projects for gold and other metals in several of the magmatic-metallogenic belts, interpreted by a team of geophysicists and geologists of Empresa Geominera Camagüey, in 1998, whose main objective was to demonstrate its existence in the selected territories and its scope when defining the mineral potential in a preliminary way, specifying what was executed in the Cretaceous-Paleogene volcano-plutonic arc in Camagüey province. It is a continuation of the first a rticle p ublished i n G eoinformativa a nd does not include field verifications (the field work was already carried out), using the descriptive method of scientific research, based on the compilation, revision, analysis and generalization of the necessary geophysical and geological information, using analogy criteria when possible. Due to the economic situation of the special period in the country, these projects were cancelled in full development, but important results that confirm t he r eal e xistence o f t hese " corridors" o r m etallogenic b elts were always obtained. The results of the advanced work for gold and other metals in the sectors, from west to east, are presented: Cuatro Compañeros-Guaicanamar, Jimirú-La Luna, Cuatro Caminos de Najasa-La Esperanza, Martí-La Yaya and Colombia- Barrueto. The main objective of these investigations has been to create a bank of prospecting-exploration projects that will increase the number of mineral deposits, mostly gold, potentially exploitable from the economic point of view. These results are still incomplete to define the real potential of the investigated areas, but they are proof of the correct interpretation of the prospecting orientation according to a deep geophysical-metallogenic interpretation. El trabajo es una síntesis de los resultados de los primeros proyectos de reconocimiento geológico para oro y otros metales en varios de los cinturones magmáticos – metalogénicos, interpretados por un equipo de geofísicos y geólogos de la Empresa Geominera Camagüey, en 1998, cuyo objetivo principal fue demostrar su existencia en los territorios seleccionados y su alcance al definir el potencial mineral de forma preliminar, precisando lo ejecutado en el arco volcano-plutónico del Cretácico- Paleógeno en la provincia Camagüey. Es continuación del primer artículo publicado en Geoinformativa y no incluye comprobaciones de campo (el trabajo de campo ya fue realizado), utilizando el método descriptivo de la investigación científica, basado en la compilación, revisión, análisis y generalización de la información geofísica y geológica necesaria, usando criterios de analogía cuando fue posible. Debido a la situación económica del período especial en el país, estos proyectos fueron cancelados en pleno desarrollo, pero siempre se obtuvieron importantes resultados que confirman la existencia real de estos “corredores” o cinturones metalogénicos. Se presentan los resultados de los trabajos avanzados para oro y otros metales en los sectores, de occidente a oriente: Cuatro Compañeros-Guaicanamar, Jimirú-La Luna, Cuatro Caminos de Najasa-La Esperanza, Martí-La Yaya y Colombia-Barrueto. El objetivo fundamental de estas investigaciones ha sido crear un banco de proyectos de prospección-exploración que, incremente el número de yacimientos minerales, mayormente de oro, potencialmente explotables desde el punto de vista económico. Son resultados aún incompletos para definir el potencial real de las áreas investigadas, pero, son prueba de la correcta interpretación de la orientación de la prospección según una profunda interpretación geofísico-metalogénica.
