DEFINITION OF MAGMATIC-METALLOGENIC BELTS IN THE CRETACEOUS-PALEOGENE ISLAND ARC IN EASTERN CENTRAL CUBA DEFINICIÓN DE CINTURONES MAGMÁTICOS-METALOGÉNICOS EN EL ARCO DE ISLAS DEL CRETÁCICO-PALEÓGENO EN CUBA CENTRAL ESTE Lugo-Primelles, René Pimentel-Olivera , Higinio Pérez-Peña , Eduardo Pardo-Echarte , Manuel arco de islas del Cretácico-Paleógeno cinturones magmáticos-metalogénicos modelos de yacimientos patrones geoquímicos y geofísicos cretaceous-Paleogene Island Arc The aim of the work was the disclosure of 6 metallogenic belts revealed from 1996 to 1998, through the compilation, organisation and reinterpretation of all the geophysical, geological and geochemical information of Ciego de Avila-Camagüey-Las Tunas, to update the stratigraphic knowledge and the generalisation of the alteration and mineralisation processes by types of existing and expected deposits. The descriptive method of investigation was applied to the information of the different physical fields. Aeromagnetic field transformations (∆T) were performed for the whole region (pole reduction, upward analytical continuations at the heights of H=1 km and H=7 km, residual fields and first vertical derivative), the production of a shadow map with declination (0°) and inclination of 45° at 1:250 000 scale, maps of the total magnetic field and pole reduction and residual field for the sheets at 1:100 000 scale, the production of Bouger anomaly maps for an intermediate layer density of 2. 67 g/cm3, maps of upward analytical continuations for H=5 km, H=7 km, H=250 m and H=500 m and other transformations such as derivatives and residual fields. For the first time in Cuba, geophysical and geological conditions were established for the definition of magmatic-metallogenic axes and similar alignments in the Cretaceous-Paleogene volcano-plutonic arc terrain in East Central Cuba. The belts were distinguished: Cubano Axial, La Yaya-Guáimaro[1]Golden Hill, Jobabo-Vertientes, Arroyo Blanco and del Sur in the Camagüey territory, as well as the Ciego de Ávila bordering Camagüey, Vertientes-El Chorro. El objetivo que se persigue es la divulgación de seis cinturones metalogénicos revelados de 1996 a 1998, mediante la compilación, organización y reinterpretación de toda la información geofísica, geológica y geoquímica de Ciego de Ávila-Camagüey y Las Tunas, para actualizar el conocimiento estratigráfico y la generalización de los procesos de alteración y mineralización por tipos de depósitos existentes y esperados. Se aplicó el método descriptivo de investigación a la información de los distintos campos físicos. Se realizaron transformaciones del campo aeromagnético (∆T) para toda la región (reducción al polo, continuaciones analíticas ascendentes a las alturas de H=1 km y H=7 km, campos residuales y primera derivada vertical), la confección de un mapa de sombra con declinación (0°) e inclinación de 45° a escala 1:250 000, de mapas del campo magnético total y reducción al polo y campo residual para las hojas a escala 1:100 000, la confección de mapas de anomalías de Bouger para una densidad de capa intermedia de 2.67 g/cm3, mapas de continuaciones analíticas ascendentes para H=5 km, H=7 km, H=250 m y H=500 m y otras transformaciones como derivadas y campos residuales. Por primera vez en Cuba se establecieron las condiciones geofísicas y geológicas para la definición de ejes magmáticos-metalogénicos y de alineaciones similares en el terreno del arco volcano-plutónico del Cretácico-Paleógeno en Cuba Central Este.
