TEST AND EXPLOITATION OF THE DATA CENTER, CUBAN GEOLOGICAL DATABASE PRUEBA Y EXPLOTACIÓN DEL CENTRO DE DATOS, BANCO DE DATOS GEOLÓGICOS DE CUBA Hernández Sánchez, Naylet Ojeda Jaile, Dayana Aparicio Tartabull, Kenia datos geológicos Banco de Datos soporte técnico aplicaciones repositorio geological data data bank technical support applications repository With the intention of preserving all the geological data of the country, the Institute of Geology and Paleontology from the Geological Service of Cuba, has the state order to carry out the creation of the Geological Data Bank of Cuba. This Data Bank is being assisted by a Research and Development project with the name of “Test and exploitation of the Data Center, Geological Data Bank of Cuba”. During the project execution period, the working methodology was modified to achieve a better functioning of the project and the strategy followed has been to reinforce the technical support offered by the Computer Services Group of the Geominera Oriente Company. The fundamental tasks, in general, are related to the correct start-up of the developed applications of capture, recovery of geological information and updating of the data bank classifiers (GeoDato IC, GeoDato AD, GeoDato RC, GeoDato DF, GeoDato INF) available in the Applications Suite of the Data Bank and accessible by all the specialists of the center. In addition, we worked with the servers for the publication of GeoDato databases and trained IGP specialists in charge of this task. For a better performance and organization of the BkDSGC, a Repository was created to save documents and recoverable objects (Maps, R & D, TTP, satellite and aerial images, shapes and GeoDato documents), this is the main result . On the other hand, for the search of the existing reports in the GeoDato databases, the GeoDato INF was created, by the Enterprise Computer Services Group of the Geominera Oriente. Con la intención de preservar todos los datos geológicos del país, el Instituto de Geología y Paleontología del Servicio Geológico de Cuba, tiene el encargo estatal de llevar a cabo la creación del Banco de Datos Geológicos de Cuba. Este Banco de Datos está siendo atendido por un proyecto de Investigación y Desarrollo con el nombre de “Prueba y explotación del Centro de Datos, Banco de Datos Geológicos de Cuba”. Durante el periodo de ejecución del proyecto se modificó la metodología de trabajo para lograr un mejor funcionamiento del mismo y la estrategia seguida ha sido reforzar el soporte técnico que ofrece el Grupo de Servicios Informáticos de la Empresa Geominera Oriente. Las tareas fundamentales, en general, se relacionan con la correcta puesta en marcha de las aplicaciones desarrolladas de captación, recuperación de la información geológica y actualización de los clasificadores del Banco de Datos (GeoDato IC, GeoDato AD, GeoDato RC, GeoDato DF, GeoDato INF) disponibles en la Suite de Aplicaciones del Banco de Datos y accesible por todos los especialistas del centro. Además, se trabajó con los servidores para la publicación de bases de datos GeoDato y se capacitaron especialistas del IGP encargados de esta tarea. Para un mejor funcionamiento y organización del BkDSGC, fue creado un Repositorio para la salva de los documentos y objetos recuperables (Mapas, I+D, TTP, imágenes satelitales y aéreas, los shapes y los documentos del GeoDato), este constituye el principal resultado. Por otro lado, para la búsqueda de los informes existentes en las bases de datos del GeoDato fue creado el GeoDato INF, por el Grupo de Servicios Informáticos Empresa de la Geominera Oriente.
