As a reference, 6 objectives are included in the exploration sub phase for primary and oxidized ores, located in different Geotectonic Environments. Quantitative analysis of the investment for sampling with trenches in oxidized zones, in primary ores for well - gallery and underground exploration - combined and the relationship with the resources to obtain, as well as the influence in laboratories and drilling. It is concluded that the definition of the feasibility of the projects will continue to be much compromised until the insufficiencies of the analytical base and the accreditation of the laboratories are solved. Estimating the efficiency of investments in geological investigations will allow decision makers to assess strengths and weaknesses. The results show that the geological research cycle is long and expensive, constituting the costs for sampling and technological Investigations of 14 - 25% of the total investment in exploration without a relationship with the resources to be obtained. En el análisis de las investigaciones geológicas se valoran los aspectos metodológicos y técnico-económicos de mayores relevancias que influyen en la eficiencia de las inversiones geológicas. Como referencia se incluyen 6 objetivos en subfase de exploración para menas primarias y oxidadas, ubicados en diferentes Ambientes  Geotectónicos. Se analiza cuantitativamente la inversión para la toma de muestra con trincheras en zonas oxidadas, en menas primarias por pozo criollo – galería y la exploración subterránea – combinado y la relación con los recursos a obtener, así como la influencia en los laboratorios y las perforaciones. Se concluye que la definición de la factibilidad de los proyectos continuará siendo muy comprometida hasta que no se solucionen las insuficiencias de la base analítica y la acreditación de los laboratorios. Estimar la eficiencia de las inversiones en las investigaciones geológicas permitirá a los decisores evaluar fortalezas y debilidades. Los resultados muestran que el ciclo de investigación geológica es dilatado y costoso, constituyendo los costos para la toma de muestra e investigaciones tecnológicas del 14 –25 % del total de la inversión en la exploración sin una relación los recursos a obtener.
