Sánchez Díaz, Dayana Oliva Hernández, Amanda Torres Sierra, Teresita Delgado Diéz, Blasa C. technological surveillance geological knowledge divulgation information dissemination Geological Survey of Cuba vigilancia tecnológica conocimiento geológico divulgación diseminación de información Servicio Geológico de Cuba The results of the work of the specialists of the National Geological Information Center of the Institute of Geology and Paleontology, currently the Geological Survey of Cuba, who developed a research project that allowed them to increase the dissemination of geological knowledge in society and obtain a system of information, scientific dissemination and technological surveillance that allows the continuous updating of knowledge of the Earth Sciences in the country and contributes to decision making and its socialization, are presented. The method used was based on technological surveillance techniques based on the search and dissemination of updated information, observation and processing of the materials used, the Integrated Library Management System, ABCD, the international standards of Technological Surveillance and the publication of Cuban scientific research results. All the above was materialized in the implementation of the geology technological surveillance system, the improvement of information management and dissemination, the publication of books and articles resulting from research projects and the increase of the institution's visibility in social networks, an informative work that allowed consolidating the scientific-research work of the Institute and achieving its positioning in society.  Se presentan los resultados de la labor de los especialistas del Centro Nacional de Información Geológica del Instituto de Geología y Paleontología, actual Servicio Geológico de Cuba, quienes desarrollaron un proyecto de investigación que les permitió aumentar la divulgación del conocimiento geológico en la sociedad y obtener un sistema de información, divulgación científica y vigilancia tecnológica que permite la actualización continua del conocimiento de las Ciencias de la Tierra en el país y contribuye a la toma de decisiones y a su socialización. El método utilizado se basó en las técnicas de vigilancia tecnológica fundamentadas en la búsqueda y diseminación de la información actualizada, la observación y el procesamiento de los materiales utilizados, el Sistema Integrado de Gestión Bibliotecaria, ABCD, las normas internacionales de Vigilancia Tecnológica y la publicación de resultados de investigaciones científicas cubanas.
